Sebastian’s Story

From Humble Beginnings to Enterprise Builder

“It’s not often that someone who started with no silver spoon and no inherited access gets the chance to make a national impact.”(p.120)

Sebastian Bastian is a Bahamian entrepreneur, investor, and philanthropist with a track record of launching and scaling transformative ventures across gaming, real estate, technology, logistics, transportation, and renewable energy. At just 19 years old, he launched his first business – an early test of instinct, discipline, and risk-taking that would set the foundation for a far-reaching entrepreneurial career.

Over the past two decades, Bastian has founded and led more than twenty companies that have helped reshape industries throughout The Bahamas and the wider Caribbean. As co-founder of Island Luck, the country’s largest online gaming and lottery platform, he helped build a digital ecosystem that combines cutting-edge technology with a seamless user experience. He later expanded into real estate through Brickell Management Group (BMG), now one of the largest development firms in The Bahamas, spanning commercial, residential, industrial, and hospitality projects that are actively shaping the nation’s development landscape.

As Chairman of Aeropost, Bastian has played a pivotal role in optimizing e-commerce, cross-border logistics, and last-mile infrastructure across Central America and the Caribbean, modernizing systems essential to sustainable regional growth. His leadership style reflects patience under pressure and a long view of value creation: learning the terrain, building strong foundations, and moving decisively when the moment demands it.

Deeply committed to social impact, Bastian founded the IL Cares Foundation, focusing on education, economic mobility, and community development. He also launched OWN, a platform providing funding, mentorship, and strategic guidance to emerging Bahamian entrepreneurs. In 2022, he was appointed The Bahamas’ Ambassador to Central America, where he works to strengthen trade relationships and foster economic partnerships across the reason.
